18 Sep Baking is my therapy or do I need to see a therapist for my baking addiction?

Note from August 27th 2014 , Wednesday, 22:27

I’m  flying to Zell Am See in Austria tomorrow. My bag is still empty and we’re leaving the house early in the morning. I open the fridge and a couple of sad beetroots are looking at me. They’re beginning to soften and I feel sad for them. It’s like they’re begging me to make a chocolate cake out of them before they rotten while we’re away in Austria. At least I’m trying to convince myself that it’s them begging me and not me asking them for permission to make a cake.

This is getting out of control. Before I know it, the kitchen is packed with bowls, sauce pans and a food processor. Melted chocolate all over the place and cacao powder on the moroccan cement floor tiles. My new shiny cake tin is now buttered and dusted with cacao and I’m pouring in the batter while dripping chocolate everywhere.

My parents probably think I’m crazy, but so do I, so that makes us three. I can’t control IT. It eats me up from the inside and haunts me and laughs at me and knows that I just can’t resist IT. Let’s just be honest here. Some people say that baking is their therapy but I’m starting to wander if I need to see a therapist for my baking addiction.

Hi! My name is Thea and I am a baking addict.

I KNEW IT!

Do you have a baking addition? If so, please raise your hands!

Oh what a fun story. I have to raise my hands (but maybe twist the story a little). Hi I’m Josefine, and I’m a cooking addict 😉 I seriously squeeze cooking in everywhere. Even though I’m so busy, half way on my way to dance after a long day after school and I still have a lot of homework to do. Haha, but I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one.
These photos are gorgeous btw! So pretty
