gluten free marble rye bread-1-2

12 Oct Gluten Free Marble Rye Bread + Video Tutorial

If we could have a real life conversation(not a "comment field conversation") now it would probably sound something like this: Me: I've been baking this week!!! You(with a sarcastic tone): Oh, what a surprise! We could neeeeever ever have guessed! Me: So far I've been baking 5 times this week. Sunday's not over yet so the number could get even higher. You: Okaay, so maybe that's a little excessive but we can understand that. Sort of. Me: I've been baking the same thing 4 times. You(definitely not sarcastic anymore): Eeehm, are you crazy? Are you all right? WHY would you do that?!? Haven't you heard about the importance of a...

04 Oct Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Some facts. It's autumn. I wanted to make cinnamon rolls. I always want to eat make cinnamon rolls I have an apple tree in my garden. It's the official cinnamon roll day in Sweden today!   I had no choice but to make gluten free apple cinnamon rolls. I could talk about cinnamon rolls for hours and hours and hours. If I had to choose only one pastry(does cinnamon rolls count as pastries?) to eat for the rest of my life it would be cinnamon rolls. But if I had to choose between pastries and Ice cream I would always choose ice cream, even over cinnamon rolls. Always. Since I'm swedish...

28 Sep Buckwheat Chia Waffles & Raw Fudge Sauce

I promised myself not to bake this weekend or post a recipe because I have so much homework to do. As you may have noticed I didn't keep that promise. You see, some people stress eat, I stress bake. It was unavoidable! I had been to the library to make research for a school project(it's about yeast because I take every chance I can to sneak in some baking in my school projects.) and gotten the worst scolding ever from an old lady because I accidentally had sat at a computer that she'd booked. She was screaming at me like a was a dog that...

24 Sep Rowan Berry Jam

I don't know why I'm posting this because I've discovered that I don't like rowan-berry jam. Actually, I do know why I post this, because I spent time remaking this jam 2 times and taking photos of it and editing the photos. I'm trying to convince myself that someone out there might like Rowan Berry Jam even if I didn't. I don't like coffee but that doesn't stop everyone else from loving it. After making this jam I've found several recipes that use 50% rowan berries and 50% apples to make it less bitter and sour. I've included links to them below. I still...

20 Sep Nigella’s Chocolate Olive Oil Cake

It was my dad's birthday this week and I gave him a Cake Card(gift card for cake). He looked at me with puppy eyes and said "Please, can you make that chocolate cake that you made in France this summer. Pleeeease." I said it was a surprise birthday cake and that I wanted to try something new.  I had something totally different in mind but then I just couldn't get this cake out of my head. It's amazing. And simple. And it's Nigella Lawson's recipe so why wouldn't it be amazing?! This chocolate olive oil cake is both gluten free and...

18 Sep Baking is my therapy or do I need to see a therapist for my baking addiction?

Note from August 27th 2014 , Wednesday, 22:27 I'm  flying to Zell Am See in Austria tomorrow. My bag is still empty and we're leaving the house early in the morning. I open the fridge and a couple of sad beetroots are looking at me. They're beginning to soften and I feel sad for them. It's like they're begging me to make a chocolate cake out of them before they rotten while we're away in Austria. At least I'm trying to convince myself that it's them begging me and not me asking them for permission to make a cake. This is getting out of control....
