14 Sep Gluten Free Sourdough Bread

Do you remember that I posted a recipe for a gluten free sourdough starter? Well, as I promised I've now made a gluten free sourdough bread. Or rather several sourdough breads this week to come up with the best recipe ever for gluten free sourdough bread. This bread is amazing. Seriously. I could never have thought that this bread wasn't made out of wheat. It's not like a sourdough bread containing gluten but it's like a normal wheat loaf. I wish you could taste this bread right now. But hey, you can! Since I made a video tutorial as well you should have...

08 Sep Muesli Muffins

These gluten free muesli muffins are perfect for a sunday brunch or as after school snacks. They're hearty, earthy and foolproof to make. You can't fail when making these because you just mix the ingredients. No beating eggs for 7 minutes or beating butter and sugar until light and airy. Most of my baking failures happens when I haven't done these things properly. I should be focusing on math and chemistry and biology but as always my thoughts evolve around everything that you can bake. So chemistry is not a priority unless I'm allowed to bake that Chemistry book in the oven on grill function until it burns....

05 Sep Gluten Free Sourdough Starter

Update: I've changed this recipe several times so if you're using one of the older versions and like it, please feel free to do that. My sourdough starter is currently made with 1 part brown rice flour, 1 part light buckwheat flour and 2 parts water (measured in weight) since I've found that it makes great bread. I was in Zell am See(a village in the Alps) in Austria this weekend and therefore I haven't had time to make a new post until now. Last time I was in Zell am See was 10 years ago and it was during the winter so I...

School started  a couple of days ago, the holidays are officially over and summer has decided to leave Stockholm. It's cloudy and it's raining a lot. Some sun-lovers might be really grumpy now but I actually like the weather because it's perfect for baking. You see when it's cold outside people(aka my family) want to eat warm baked things which mean I can bake more! Just so you know, it doesn't mean that I'll bake more sweet things because then I would be rolling around and so would the rest of my family. In the autumn I like to bake bread a couple of times...

22 Aug Overnight Swirly Blueberry Buns

This week I'm doing a guest post over at Cannella Vita. It's a recipe for gluten free swirly blueberry buns with some of my favorite spices for baking: cardamom and vanilla. Often gluten free recipes contain a very long list of ingredients and therefore I tried to make this ingredients list as short as possible. As always I didn't use any gums like xanthan- or guar-gum, or any flours that are hard to find. I didn't have the chance to pick any blueberries this year so I had to settle with the ones from the grocery store but if you've been...

14 Aug Lavender Infused Olive Oil

Hello! I'm back with a new video that I started filming earlier this summer and now it's finally done. It takes several weeks to make Lavender Infused Olive Oil so therefore I couldn't finish the video until yesterday when I filmed the last steps of the process. And you'll see my dog Hälge in the video as well. He's the cutest and craziest dog ever, but in this video he's only cute! You can use lavender oil in your bath, on your skin and for baking. If you're anything like me you love everything "lavendery". I know I just made up that word...
